What a great find!! How cool was it that someone had the mindset to record their trip and document the automotive scene in Italy during the early to mid 70's. I love seeing all these great cars and I think of all the stories they could tell today if they could talk...... Thanks for sharing this blast from the past! Best wishes, Gene Greer
Thanks for posting. Great footage of early 365 GT4 BBs and Dino 246s, my favourite road cars from Maranello, and also of the beautiful Maseratis. Carrozzeria Sport Auto Diena & Silingardi here.
Fantastic video. Thanks for posting. If only we could go back in time... At ~9:15, the red Daytona with n°8 is #13715.
What ? This was posted already yesterday and still no list of every single (Ferrari) chassis # featured on it, but I'm sure it'll be coming in 3, 2, 1... ?
Steve I suppose that "used cars" is a bit harsh but in those days many were daily drivers--especially in Europe. It wasn't uncommon to see Ferrari with high mileage showing wear from road use, minor collisions, parking lots etc. often blowing smoke from worn valve guides. I recall (as a boy) a Pf Coupe owned by a cigar smoking Neanderthal who stomped-out his stogies in the footwell. I was aghast the floor was littered with cigar butts.
Great video. Reminds me there was a manufacturing documentary programme on UK TV a few years ago, showing the production of 550s ... can anyone recall that and better still have a link?
U-tube has a modern tour of the Ferrari factory. I was in Maranello on two factory visits. The U-tube is close.
Somebody posted this in the 308/328 section awhile back. Great video, I've watched it a few times. Only wish there was sound! Glad to see it posted here.
What a great video and a great time before robots, automation and share prices. Ferrari may be making some great cars, but the sole is gone.
Thanks for posting. I was at the factory in 1980 between Christmas and New Years and was able to see some of the factory since there was little going on and everyone was in the Chistmas spirit. I stayed in the Hotel owned by DeTomasso and his Lady. What fun.
