Did not know they sold those. Thanks for the heads up. That's one of the reasons I'm hesitant to do it. The thought of trying to find bumper shocks down the road scares me.

    Great,

I am in Ventura so we are close. Hoping to get a GT4 reunion at the Best of Italy and France show this fall. If you need any pdfs I have all the service manuals etc. Heritage certificate not available anymore.

Congrats on your GT4! Prunga is a Really killer color and looks fantastic in the sun.

My GT4 is 10556 so not to far from 10630 and 10688 so we're practically cousins. Mine was manufactured in April 1975 so I bet the left the factory about the same time.

While I wait for parts to arrive and figure out where to keep it, I threw the 308 GT4 in my parents garage. It looks good next to my dads 71 Alfa Romeo Montreal. If you stare at both cars long enough while they're parked next to each other, you see a lot of little similarities between the two. Bertone did a great job on both cars.

These cars were created in Bertone's halcyon era.

It's sad to learn of their recent demise...

A friend of mine owned a Montreal for a brief period of time. A spectacular GT car.

That's a golden garage in my opinion. Keep it like that for as long as you can.

Once I have the service done, we plan on taking both cars on a road trip together. Would be good to get some shots of both cars out on some back roads together. The Montreal is a great car and just like the GT4, finally being recognized.

I finally got around to doing the service last week.

While I was working on it, I took a look at the fuel filler hose because I have heard so many horror stories of cars catching fire due to these not being replaced. Good thing I checked! The hose had a huge crack and was ready to cause some serious damage had I put gas in it. The previous owner was lucky it never caught fire with him.

Now that the service is done, I'll move onto some of the little details (interior/door lights, cleaning up some trim, etc.) and then will redo the interior.

Amen brother. Mine had the very same crack when I bought it. Those of you who haven't checked that hose lately really should.

Why Daves hose is so great it is more flexible and a snap to remove install the OEM one is still and helps support the filler neck a bit but near impossible to get on or off.

1975 and earlier cars are smog exempt in CA. You still cannot legally remove or tamper with the equipment, but it makes the prison rape experience of a biannually smog check one less thing to worry about. It was on a rolling exemption put in by Gov Gray Davis, and would be up to at least 1985 by now, but repealed by Arnold even though he flew to work on a jet weekly......Davis was recalled as he wanted to reinstate the original license fee to help rebuild crumbling infrastructure. Now we have low vehicle fees (relatively) and bad roads (relatively)....but Arnold still pronounces infrastructure better! :p

My car like fresh pavement smooth roads and high octane gas!

Just an update on the car. Anthony sold it and I am the new owner. I live in Utah and still need to go get the car and bring it back.
