I am not a Lambo guy.
I'm asked to look at a car.
It is a 1975, USA version Espada(series???), Air nozzles are blocked off in exhaust.

What I need to know is:
    Cam timing degree information...
Intake opens at ??? BTDC, closes ???? Degs after BDC, etc
    Intake and exhaust cams,
    AND>>>at what clearance?
Is it .020" valve lash a-la-Ferrari???

Is there a copy/print of the distrubutor advance curve available?

Do these cars utilize R2/R1 ignition point sets with 6 lobes in the distributors?
I would like to review all this sort of info PRIOR to having the car being droppoed off...
How much magnesium is used on these?
    Is it dry sump?

This is a favor to a client with whom I do several, Medium/BIG Ferrari comp cars, thus my reluctant "need" to take a look at this thing...

By all reports, it looks like a pretty decent, original-ish car...

My last Espada experience: I owned a lime green metallic "wagon", it was 1978/77(?), and was a $6K trade against motors in a Daytona and a Dino!

we called it/and used it as: "the Lambo parts running station wagon!"
We used it for the summer, did a major, and sold it for $9000.00
    Everyone was happy.
Didn't get another Lambo until a periscopoe in 1980/81...another car which slipped through my fingers for a quick 20K....

Any help would be appreciated, even if it is only a referral to whomever may have the appropriate technical spec sheets,
    CIAO!

The best place for all the tech info is the vintage Lambo group in Yahoo. All your questions will be answered there:

    http://autos.groups.yahoo.com/group/VintageLambo/

1975 is a Series 3, it is not a dry sump(unless modified), it uses 4 sets of points in a dual configuration with six lobes on the shaft(alternate race track on cap/rotor.

I don't have the cam specs handy. There are two sets of cam profiles, this car will have the later version. I recall the valve lash was 0.016"? I could be mistaken.

Do a google search on "In Rodaggio" I believe this site has a pdf of the manual you can look at. From memory the intake valve lash is 0.012" and the exh is 0.016" typical for the older cars i.e. Miura and Countach.

    Cheers Jim
