    not on mfi so missing an important part of the fun ... don't think the rear tail is correct - whats the chassis number - is it matching numbers .....

    Looks like they threw an MFI(or carbs) onto an S motor? The Vin is for a '76 911S.

    Looks like a US '76 with 2.7 CIS motor that someone converted to carbs, and stuck on the tail and "Carrera RS" badge. I think the stock motors were in the 150 h.p. range. Porsche's dark years.

    Agree, looks like it has some ad hoc "modifications/upgrades".

    2.7 Carreras RS was not available as 1976 model.

    Yes it was. They produced 123 for Swiss and German delivery only.

    The listing states "1976 911S packs a potent 2.7 RS engine" that makes more sense....however it's not an RS engine. It may be built to 2.7 RS specs, but it has carbs and not the REAL 2.7 RS MFI. Probably a ~$15k car.

    i bet the car is quick, but for that money i would opt for a very nice G50 Carrera..

    I'm always skeptical about claimed h.p. ratings without a current dyno sheet.
