I have a glass GTB that is red.....what a surprize! I would like to get some touch up paint for a couple of nicks the car has......was there more than one red in 1976? Paintscratch.com only lists rosso fuoco for that year.....is that correct? Any advice leading towards the purchase of correct touch up paint will be appreciated.

There should be a sticker on the rear deck lid indicating the paint code. Most 1976 fiberglass GTBs were Rosso Chiaro 20.R.190 Salchi.

It's best to go to a good body shop and have them computer match your paint. For about 10-15 dollars, you'll have some touch up paint that will match.

The way red fades, It's highly unlkely that paint mixed to the original code will match your car after 20 odd years.

This comes up a lot, & you would have found it out if you'd searched the archives.

Go to a auto paint supply shop & have them mix computer matched paint. It'll match perfectly.
