This car came to me from a one family owner since new. I have the original order form, the window sticker, and every stitch of paperwork from the beginning. All stacked like a book.

Factory air car, 2.7, leather, factory Koni shocks, and factory Fuch alloys. All books, all tools all numbers match.

Always had exceptional care. If this car needed anything ~ I mean ANYTHING it got it without hesitation. I believe there are over 100+ receipts in the file for everything from tires & batteries to license plate frames - from day one.

2.7 was rebuilt 10 years & 15k miles ago (car shows approx 68k miles). Case was professionally shuffle pinned & boat-tailed for stability. SSI exchangers were adapted to replace the factory thermo-reactors. A updated cooling fan was installed as well. All per Porsche bulletins. Transmission & clutch work as new. This may be the finest shifting 911S available today. Body has had one sympathetic repaint in its factory color of chocolate. Original tan leather looks very good with patina like a luved baseball glove from your youth. Tan dash is perfect. Really. Under the front hood sits the (still in factory plastic bag) luggage straps that Porsche provided back in the day. Its a pleasure to behold.

The car drives like new. Heat is wonderful (I am in Illinois) gauges are great. Truly this car is a time machine. No crabby carbs as '76 had CIS injection. No rust issues as '76 had galvanized body. No efforts needed as this car is a pleasure. Just received maintenance with all fluid changes and front to back look over. Its exceptional.

Willing to talk with interested parties about details & perhaps selling at around $29,500. But for now I am going to drive it. :)

Michael, did you make a typo on your asking price?

$29.5k seems low for the car as you've described it.

No typo. I just am comfortable with allowing the next guy to have room to do the same. Prices are strong without a doubt.

It seems that the 2.7 cars are considered the 'i' of the 308 series: fine cars but low in the pecking order.

'Long hood' 3.2 Carreras are very healthy in the market.

Best wishes with the sale. Outstanding description and history. You've rectified most anything someone hesitant on the 2.7s would ever want. The next owner should be very pleased.

    Thank you all.

I am taking detailed photos today for a few that have expressed interest. And I am inventorying the extras so I can show exactly what comes with it. But for now I am going to drive it. Its forecasted to be a nice day.
