    Trying to nail down what is correct and available to replace the outer window scraper/drip seal on a 1977 car. I have read the available threads and have found the flocked scraper that is rivited to the door and the door card is available from reoriginals but there is another piece “sandwiched” between the door and the riveted scraper. Ive attached a picture from another fchatter and one of what I pulled out that I don’t believe is correct.

    77 had the whisker type. 79 had the lip. The white part you see used to be black fabric, they fade over the decades. The new stuff is black as it should be.

    Ok thank you Paul! I’m not counting this in my 5 questions ;).

    For future reference this is what is riveted on either side of the glass. One on the door panel and one on the door, it is available from reoriginals and is the E7 profile.

    Looks like someone tried to improve the pressure on the window.

    You'll never get the "squegee effect" from the fuzzy strip that the later rubber blade wipe makes, but once the rubber lip was used the part comes all in one piece, with outer metal trim along with it.

    One or the other, IMO

    Be sure to observe the cut slits in the bottom that existing band material to let it bend with the curve of the outer metal trim.

    The new design from ReOriginals s a little nicer than the cloth covered original piece,
