    After six years of ownership, I'm selling my Lancia Scorpion. It's a '77 with the Series 2 glass buttresses, improved ventilation and amber taillights. This is a great inexpensive, exotic-feeling sports car with dramatically reduced running costs compared to the marque of choice on this forum.

    The listing has all the details and several videos, including an autocross video. The engine is a 1.8-liter Lampredi twin-cam with twin DCNFs, exhaust, cams, Euro-spec 9.8:1 compression, lightly ported head. 15-inch wheels, all-new cooling system from nose to tail, new struts/sport springs, Wilwood four-piston brake conversion with larger vented front rotors. I've put 2k miles on the car since refurbishment and I estimate horsepower at between 120-130, though it has not been on a dyno yet.

    Runs and drives great, just needs a new owner. Was a Southern California car until I moved it to Washington, and it's been garaged all its life. I never drive it in damp weather, which we get a lot of here -- one reason for selling it. Reserve is reasonable and far less than I've spent rebuilding it, but I'm happy to have saved this one.

    Wow cool car and in my 'hood. Best luck with the sale, have always liked the looks and sounds of these. The auto cross video was cool to see out at the airport.

    I’m 5’11”, but I’ve got 2-3 inches to spare in headroom and rearward seat adjustment. I also tend to drive with a more upright seatback than many. Two different guys that were 6’3”-plus have driven this car.

    The double-bubble roof actually adds some headroom, but I’d imagine you’ll drive the car with the roof off most of the time. There’s so little buffeting inside, even at freeway speed.

    There is zero emissions gear on the car, but if you live in CA, you know the tricks.

    No rust and I’ve never even washed it with water, I use a specialty spray product.

    All the AC parts are there, you’ll need a new belt, though. The one I have was cut off.

    Had the wits scared out of me in one of these in the late 70's. The driver was a formula Ford or V racer, can not recall which now, and he was trying to convince me to help sponsor his car. Took me out on some back roads in my neighborhood in one of these and showed off ALL of his driving skills, which were prodigious. Great car then, probably equally great now, and damn, if I wasn't sure my wife would kill me, I'd find room for this.

    Maybe I can hide it at a neighbor's house. ;) We have several snow birds here who barely come to town. They probably wouldn't mind.
