My neighbor is selling his '77 Rabbit and I don't have the garage space to purchase it. Cory Says: Up for sale is my extremely rare 1977 Rabbit with a 1.6 liter fuel injected motor with 138,000 miles. Two doors. It has a 4spd manual transmission. It is Bali Green: if you know anything about Rabbits you know this is one of the hardest colors to find. All original interior in great shape for its age. Seat bolster foam is getting old but no holes or rips. New radiator last fall, no overheating problems ever. The car comes with desirable BMW snowflake wheels. The paint is in decent shape, shines up really nicely. No photoshop tricks in the pictures. It does have some rust that will need to be repaired. Worst spot is driver side floor board, which is rusted through. Other spots (chin, rockers) are surface rust. Shock towers and trunk are solid and rust free. The car passed Denver emissions test and is registered, plated and driven. I am driving it, so mileage may go up. Feel free to email me with questions or for more photos. Located in Denver, CO 80211 $3,000. [email protected] Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
These are a blast-yrs ago my buddy had one that was so rusted the drivers seat wasn't connected to to the floor which makes it real interesting when mashing the throttle in a turn!
Car is sold to a new owner, but I don't know how to delete the thread or make it say "sold" Fun car, sad to see it drive away from the neighborhood. Jonathan
These early Rabbits are so clean uncluttered aesthetically - perhaps someday one will adorn my garage again, but I was unable to pounce on this for personal reasons. I once had a 1980 in powder blue with a 5 speed - it was great fun.
Giugiaro! I wonder if they did the interior as well, or if they only sculpted the body. Great cars, and the Scirocco still look fresh.
was hoping vw would bring their latest scirocco over from Europe-I was looking at golf r's a number of mos ago as a daily driver but ended up getting a bimmer 3 series. If avail I would have def checked out a new scirocco-what a great ride the old ones were
