Henry- Sorry for the delay in response. Here is the build thread on the 1970 FJ40: https://forum.ih8mud.com/threads/electric-tlc-fj-40-build.1040022/ We just moved it up to Chatsworth and now are in with Billy at Action Vehicle Engineering. Brock is our lead engineer and is helping un accommodate the increased build demand. Check him out on Insta @electronmonkey - I will be up there Tues-Thurs this week. The FJ and Fiat are in full production there and will be coming together over the next couple of months! The GTE 308 will be with a new owner soon enough. Cant wait to unveil the FJ and Fiat and the several projects coming in hot on their heels. Big stuff!!! Hutch
The fellas in UK at @ClassicElectricCars (on Instagram) are building a Tesla Motor drive version of the 3X8 which ought to be slightly overpowered Should be fun to watch!

Hey Hutch! very cool van! I had a chance to look at your Fiat up close the other week at Besta Wan. What a great little ride!
Bummer I missed you! Just shipped that car out to Chicago for a month for some local drive-time. Super fun driver.... We are partnering with Roadster Salon and providing them exclusive Fiat designed e-drivetrains at the single and dual motor levels. Going to be some really neat cars coming out of that these guys! Will have the look of the VW motor above w 36 kWhr Power Module. http://roadstersalon.com/ Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Small circle of life.... ended up back at the venue for "40 for 40" in the electric Ferrari last weekend on the way to a Drive Electric Event.... Remember that guys? Well the e-308 has a new owner and it is getting some neat mods and then off to Florida for more miles.... ill post some update photos as we progress.... BTW, nearly 10,000 miles and not one oil change.... A couple sets of tires maybe. Image Unavailable, Please Login
For all those who wanted to see the car without black wheels... your day is upon us. Out with the black 360 wheels & tire and in with the new.... Getting ready to head back to paint as well... DM if you have interest in the wheels/tires. <1000 miles on the tires @18 months old. 4x Front BBS 360 modular wheels with RE-71's 215F/235R. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Girodisc 3X8 package that was modified substantially too have full "front size" rotors all around and then upsized pistons on the front calipers. CNC manual pedal block including hydraulic clutch line.
Those black rims were soooo... needed to go. Great to see traditionals being mounted. Why another round of paint?
New owner, New End State of Habitation, New Image all around. Have yet to succeed in finding good tires for the 16" wheels... Cant find a combo F/R 215/50 - 245/45 (or 235/45 16's.... for the F7" R8" wheels combo. looks like the 205 & 225 options will work well and the slightly smaller wheel & tire combo will look and perform really nice. RE-71R's all around.
BFG G-Force Comp 2's come in 225/50/16 and 245/50/16's. Two different tread patterns. Might work......
So want to... still may swap up to the 225/245 combo as the car certainly benefits from the extra rubber. QA1's need to be adjusted as the 225's rubbed if I recall.
Ok. I confess. Black wheels look like s$&?. Now what color would you paint it if you wanted to change the color? Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
I like the red cars that have had them done in a gold. There are some old threads showing wheels and colors.
Wheels are staying silver do to popular vote - . Car color is about to change. Hmmmm. Pondering the new color options........ Best change if you were to change car color?
You have 2 choices, Hutch.... in my opinion, anyway. And it's the only one I care about anyway lol 1. Red (as is) with silver rims is perfect. 2. If you can't live with that, then black with gold/bronze rims.
Feels so familiar as we perform some update work with the Electric 308. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Any chance the 308 came from Texas? Looks like my car that caught fire while I was driving in Grapevine Texas, probably 1998.
