This is AM120US1266 restored ground up by Richard Solomon of New York city and advertised in September 2005: they did a very good job. The car was rosso fuoco with black interior when new. They also got rid of the ugly US sidelights, fitting just two small round sidelights on the front fenders as on Euro cars, only a few US cars have had that done (including my old baby 1242). Here are the details of his ad back then: 100 mi since grnd-up resto, euro spec, concours win’g GT. Burgundy/gry int, euro bmprs, stainless exhst, new tires, cold a/c, absol. prfct, no stories. poss. Best in US. $100K spnt, recs/pics avbl $64K. Serious inqr only. Richard (212) etc He sold it very well, deservedly so even though the Khamsin price perception was still low at the time. Note that the photos shown in Ferrari ads are 2005 photos taken when it was for sale by Solomon. best regards, Marc
Are you positive that Solomon sold the car? The person offering the car for sale is the same person that at one time was pitching Solomon's Bora. Joe
Please note that I sold Richard's Khamsin to it's current owner on 03/20/06. I am now selling the car for that individual. Any doubts, feel free to contact Richard if you know him. Richard sold his Bora to an overseas buyer although I represented the car for him as well - he ended up finding a buyer on his own. Please see my ad in ferrariads for full details: http://www.ferrarichat.com/ferrariads/showproduct.php?product=2500&cat=7 by the way, the Khamsin goes up on ebay tonight 01/16/09. Thank you for the information Ron and best of luck with the sale, I would certainly bid if I could afford it! best regards, Marc
Marc, Thanks for your kinds words and yes, the asking price is $59,000. Will consider offers in that range. It's now on ebay: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=140295405887&ih=004&sspagename=STRK%3AMESE%3AIT&viewitem= I think it will get a lot of attention. Ron
I recently found the testimonial that Richard Solomon provided for me when I sold his car for him. See below: "It has been a pleasure to deal with Ron Susser of RonSusser.com. He was extremely professional, savvy, and personable. He made the process of selling my italian exotic simple and straightforward. He was there whenever I needed him. He was able to utilize all of the data I assembled and create an extremely accessible word and picture document. I felt that the relationship was truly collaborative and the end result was a unqualified success. I recommend Ron to all my friends and colleagues who may wish to buy or sell quality vehicles." RS
