I have been a fan of the 930 turbo since it came out in 75. I've had some chances to buy one or two, but always seem to find the dogs, hacked or modified beyond repair, in my price range. The nice, well cared for example are all way up there in price, or inflated by dealers, and I know how to spot them.
    My question is this:
Since all the US version, nice orig examples are relatively unaffordable, are we starting to look at the "gray market" cars and why not? After all, they are the same cars. When are these cars going to be gone of their unflattering "gray market" stigma? I would think soon. You?

They do not have a stigma overseas and really don't have one in the U.S. Anymore. They much desire the Euro 930 overseas vs the U.S. 930. There is not a big difference in price between U.S. Vs Euro in today's market. That said you can always sell overseas. The only problem is the state of California. I don't need to say anymore.

cool. thanks... I remember years ago everyone steered clear of these cars. The federalization of these cars were sometimes hacked or done incorrectly, or without papers if I remember but not sure that is even relevant today..., besides of course doing your due diligence and making sure care is straight, air pump and emission controls in good shape etc.
