I have the information at home for a QV clutch kit but I'm not sure if it carries over to your application. Most kits include the clutch disc, pressure plate and T/O bearing. You'll probably have to order the pilot bearing separately.

Other items to replace "while you are in there":
    1. Rear main seal (behind the flywheel). When removing the flywheel, pay attention to and mark it's location. The bolt spacing pattern is not symetrical. You'll want to place a mark on the flywheel relative to some other item (point on timing marker).
    2. With the flywheel out, take a 60-grit disc and lightly resurface the flywheel to remove old grit, rust, surface contamination, etc.
    3. There are also 3 o-ring gaskets you'll want to order when doing this job. I have those P/N's at home and can provide later tonight.

    Hope this helps...

Also might need a new ?split ring? if your ring has been reused a few times.

Steve...are you refering to the ring that locks down on one of the drop-down gears? The answer is yes.

    Sorry...forgot about that one.

All of the 308/328s/Mondials use the same B&B clutch. If I remember correctly, this thread has the B&B numbers for the pp & disc:

However, the throwout & pilot bearings are ferrari unique, will have to be ordered from the usual suppliers: Dennis McCann, TRutlands, etc.

Yes, you'll need a new ring nut for the lower drop gear, & the 3 o-rings you already mentioned. I assume you have or can get hold of the special socket for the ring nut.

There is no gasket between the transfer case cover & the bell housing, just seal it with a good sealant. I suggest: Loctite/Permatex 515 or 518 anaerobic sealant, but Permatex Black or Blue RTV will work fine as well.

If your rear main seal hasn't been recently changed, now would be a good time to do cange it. Again, a Ferrari unique part.

Be sure to disassemble, clean & lightly oil the nylon clutch cable pulley that's on the frame. These often get gummed up & dirty, then abrade the clutch cable.

No worries, i forgot about it too and no one told me to get one when we changed my clutch this past weekend. Fortunately we had a friend who had one just in case mine was at its end-life.

you might consider machining the flywheel. i was leary of doing so when i did the clutch last spring but it was obvious that the previous clutch had worn unevenly because of the flywheel. 12 thou later it was perfect and the clutch is very smooth. jon s.

Yes, you should take the flywheel, clutch disc, & new PP to an auto machine shop & have them:
    1) Re-surface the flywheel (They almost always warp some, especially the 1st couple of times the clutch is replaced).
    2) Have the flywheel balanced, then the PP balanced to bring the pair of them in balance together.

While the PPs are supposed to come pre-balanced, I've seen them be out of balance by almost an ounce out of the box!!!

I am looking for the part # of the clutch kit or the separate part #'s,not how to do the clutch ,I have the socket and the appropiate tools.I did a clutch on a 308 13 years ago .I am a european auto tech. I dont need advice on how to do a clutch on a 308 .It take about 45 minutes to R&R the clutch and the appropiate seals on a 308.I was hoping that one of you out there might have written down the part# on the Borg & Beck box that it came in .I do this to all the parts that i receive.I have the SKS bearing # for the timing belt idler bearings and many other parts. they are OE and with the SKS # they are much cheaper than using the Ferrari #.If you are paying Ferrari prices for parts on 308 than we are not working together.Lets work together to keep our FERRARI'S running like they should without being rip off.

    Phil
