Hi all, Found out my ECU's are good, but I have some bad pins. Does anyone know if replacements can be had, and where I can get them? Are they a standard size connector pin I can get off Amazon? Anyone know the standard? Here is a picture of what I need. About 12 of them.
Nothing special about these. I just went to the nearest electrical parts supplier. If you really want to contribute to a Ferrari parts supplier then here... https://www.eurospares.co.uk/Ferrari/308/308_Quattrovalvole_(1985)/PartDiagrams/037/Engine_Ignition #26 You might want to invest in the correct crimping tool though. They're fiddly and this makes the job easier. The schematic for the two valve injected car doesn't show these but you'll notice that the 11 way block is the same part number as the QV. So there can't be much difference you'd think.
Thanks Barry for sending that. I tried having a pin company match it but they couldn't, even with much better pictures. As a result, my research has taken me to the part I need is 115599. (It is not part 26 from the QV picture) They are special order and of course no picture. The block is 115598, but comes with no pins/terminals. I have placed the order and will post the pictures back here. Image Unavailable, Please Login
you mean like this? https://www.google.com/search?q=2.8mm+push-on+terminals&client=firefox-b-d&sa=X&sca_esv=596266007&biw=1440&bih=815&tbm=shop&ei=juCZZaqBB92u2roPn5G4yAQ&ved=0ahUKEwiqgMLV88mDAxVdl1YBHZ8IDkkQ4dUDCAc&uact=5&oq=2.8mm+push-on+terminals&gs_lp=Egtwcm9kdWN0cy1jYyIXMi44bW0gcHVzaC1vbiB0ZXJtaW5hbHNIqxtQ9QdYrRRwAHgAkAEAmAGhAqABvQaqAQUwLjQuMbgBA8gBAPgBAYgGAQ&sclient=products-cc ...again I don't think they are hard to find. You need the type with the tang on the back to retain them in the block. Yes the blocks only come bare sans female terminals.
Hard to be 100% sure until the new ones arrive. Decided to replace all 22 terminals. They are special order making them. 1.00 a piece.
#26 is the spring clip that keeps the connector secured to the Digiplex. It is not an electronic connector.
agreed rifledriver. The actual part for the pins is 115599 which is not on the diagram for some reason. I ended up speaking with someone at ferrparts who kindly gave me the correct part number. I should have asked him how he knew. Even when I ordered them at Eurospares the part is not on their diagram, but comes up when I put it in manually to order. It correctly displayed as terminal but no picture. Therefore I am still somewhat holding my breath. Should know in 7-10 days when they are expected to be manufactured.
Ferrari printed several manuals called "Electrical components". They were not in general distribution and very hard to get. It showed every connector, the pins and the boots if any. They gave a Ferrari part number and identified the source (AMP, Reischagen etc) and their part number. I have one and strongly suspect the same guy gave Ferrparts theirs. Difficult to use because many of the pictures of the pins are not great. One of the reasons I never use websites. I call real live parts men who are Ferrari people and have the knowledge and resources to get me what I need.

Here is the ordered part that was reproduced at Eurospares. It is unique. Image Unavailable, Please Login
