    Good day All,

Just adding documentation that I found on BaT:

    https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1981-ferrari-berlinetta-boxer-512-bb-512-carbureted/

Very interesting and impressive that the current owner has had the car for 36 years (since 1984!), amazing.

    Cheers,

    Sam

Probably converted from km/h to mph when imported. So low miles, but not that low.

I had an 82BBi, believe all speedos are in kms. I bought mine in 2001 with 17k kms. Never did have faith in the accurate mileage. Speedo can be disconnected and/or entire gauge replaced.

I know in 84 you had a choice from the factory. KMs or Miles.

    Good day All,

The auction ended with the 35873 selling for $282K USD + whatever fees (if any) that BaT collects.

    Cheers,

    Sam

I think Boxer speedos were a big selling item when the cars came to the US. Accurate mileage was not a given after they were imported.

I dunno...but the seat wear looks a bit heavy for 8500 miles. And the pedals seem to have quite a bit of use too. Just my useless opinion. Actually mileage doesn't bother me much. Especially in a 40 year old car. For vintage/classic cars I could care less about what the odo says. What matters is the condition of the example........mechanical and cosmetic.
