Check this out. If you're thinking about buying......this car sure doesn't give you a warm and fuzzy feeling from the start!

From the wrong "1982 FERRARI 308 GTSi QUATTROVALVOLE" title, to the very short and misspelled description, to the vehicle history report that virtually gives you almost no history or information! It's very apparent that the sellers know nothing about this car.

Then, you get to the pictures and more red flags! Various sections on the car have been repainted: mismatched paint between the hood and fenders, mismatched paint between the driver's door and quarter panel, mismatched paint between the rear engine lid and rear targa roof section. There is also some damage on the front spoiler, rust on the rear exhaust apron, and the engine is missing the rubber boot between the air intake and air filter housing. Keep in mind that these are all of the things that can be seen in just four funky low quality pictures!! Imagine the laundry list of things if you saw it in person!

Plus, the engine is dirty, bumpers, tires and rubber parts are all "dry". All of this can be had for only $30K!! At this price, you'd think they could at least have the engine and car properly detailed!! Those "racing stripes" have gotta go as well! When you install these type of stripes on a car, don't you usually keep the same spacing of them from the front to the rear??

    Poor car! :(

Shouldn't we be bashing this as a fakey-do replica with the QV badge on the back? ;)

Did they spray the hood from a spray can? I think it's Krylon Cherry Red. :)

If I could get it for 10k I would try to bring it back. But WHY would you EVER put stripes on that classic. And WHY the QV logos. I know I have had problems from mine, that guys on the forum have helped me with, But damn.

    "Tare and Ware"?

I guess the seats are heavy, and have containers for them.

and the white stripes, well, i am speechless.

That really made my day. The painter probably started at the front and then noticed too late that the stripes would run over the precious Ferrari logo in the back.

While this car is obviously not a QV, there were QVs built in 1982 if I recall correctly. Not swearing to it since I dont have my resources here, but I believe they do exist - this is just not one of them.

I think the wires are just an electric cord that runs under the car, and I think you can see them coming out of the front in the other pic, just wires on the floor?

I like how the stripes don't match. Look how far they're separated in the front, then look at the back haha.

I hope that somebody can save and restore that poor, defiled beauty. No, it's not a Quattrovalvole.

I wouldn't mind having the rims though. They look cool on 80's Porsche 911's.

Beware, I saw this car sitting for years in the back lot of this dealer. It was left outside and the interior was completely soaked and with green algae and mildew, I kid you not, dash, seats, and windows, all with mold. If someone with allergies were to sit in this car, they can become dangerously ill. I am sure they tried to clean it, but I'm sure there are traces under the seats and behind the dash. Don't turn on the defroster without a mask.

Notice the gap between the two white stripe on the front and the gap between the two white stripe on the rear? They're both way off.
