I saw this on the FCA Nationals classified ads and thought someone here might want the info. I have no affiliation with the seller. 1982 400i, s/n 41527. Silver/black. 33,000mi. Five speed with double-disk clutch. Turn-key driver, or show. Engine detailed, OEM radio, spring suspension, 415mm TRXs, single AC, tools. Owned for eighteen years. Tony, 703 963 0767 (VA).
Can you share information about the car? I am sure I can successfully deal with the old man, but first I could benefit from some general guidance about the car condition, etc. Thanks in advance!
Good day, Just adding doc on Chassis 41527, as it is on BaT https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1982-ferrari-400i-17/ The last time I found the 41527 was for sale was in 2020 at the Motorcar Gallery with an asking $62.5K USD: https://www.motorcargallery.com/cars/322/1982-ferrari-400i-5-speed Cheers, Sam 1982 Ferrari 400i 5-Speed Color: Silver Exterior with Black Interior Mileage: 37518 Miles shown, but odo was serviced/replaced Location: CA USA VIN: ZFFEB07B000041527 Chassis: 41527 Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login

I notice that the exhaust system is quite different than my 78 400. Is this due to Cats and what year was this changed?
Good day Prescott, I believe that the exhaust system is not a factory setup except for the rear silencers. Most likely the centre modification was done to change the exhaust note and the cats were added to reduce emissions. Perhaps others can chime in if I am mistaken. Cheers, Sam
Good day All, Just an update that 41527 sold today for $132K USD! Wow, simply, wow. Although this is a nice car, I am shocked at this price, as the car has a number of needs. Although one sale does not make the market, it certainly sets a tone. Cheers, Sam Image Unavailable, Please Login
https://www.ferrariwestlake.com/auto/used-1982-ferrari-400i-near-thousand-oaks-ca/72768569/ Ferrari of Westlake is asking $199k for this beauty! And it's an auto!
I bought this car today on BAT. I just wanted another 3 pedal older Ferrari so bad and this was one that I always wanted as a kid. Not sure it's worth $132k yet. I don't care, I just wanted it so I bought it. Any insight into the history of this car would be much apricated.
@Juice Welcome to the like minded club and Congrats to you! I hope you have many enjoyable miles on it. For the benefit of us doing future bidding, once the car rolls off the transporter, can you make a comment on this forum if the actual product met the description on the BaT auction? Looking forward to your first post drive comments.
Juice. Welcome to the ForumThat was a great auction today. You guys made it very entertaining. Glad you stuck in there. I see you are in Rockville. I'm in Bethesda so we gotta get together. Competizione is the place to go for your car as Richard (the owner) also owns a 400.
Good day Juice, Welcome to the group! I wish you endless miles with smiles with your car! Cheers, Sam
Good day Jason and Paul, ... and yet a fellow fchatter's car (SouthJersey400i) has less than 60K and is going for 1/4 the price of the car offered by Ferrari of Westlake and it has not yet been sold: https://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/threads/update-1984-400i-auto.667992/#post-148997682 A strange market. Cheers, Sam
Good day Brian, My comments were comparing Ken's car to the Ferrari of Westlake car... which is an auto .. and so a relatively apples to apples price comparison. Cheers, Sam
