1983 Blue Mondial Coupe for Parts or Track Car. Off the road since 2004. This is a very straight, no accidents car that would be ideal for parts or track car. Dry California sunroof car but has spots of surface rust/bubbling. All glass is present and intact. Black leather interior is decent with normal wear. Top of instrument binnacle is sunburnt and frayed. Carpets are decent. No tools or books. Engine and gearbox removed and being sold separately.

VIN is ZFFMD14A0D0048961. Pictures will be posted soon.

    $8,500

Freshly rebuilt quattrovalvole engine and 5-speed transmission available separately.

Surely this is the recent Ebay "complete not running" car ... we are all dying to hear what the problem was, whether the seller's guardedness was what we suspected etc..

Actually the car on Ebay was dark blue and it could easily have been shipped to CA, drivetrain pulled, but in fact it's not the same car, just checked the VIN. No need to do any math.

I don't know what engine might fit in that bay and still line up with the rear driveshafts ... I think you would have to intrude into the rear seat to get anything other than a 3x8 motor to fit. There was 308 GT4 that someone put an LS motor into and that's what he did. Parting out might be a better solution given that the car needs a lot of cosmetic help as well ... especially as you are already more than half way down that road.

Russ, thanks for your interest and suggestions. For those actually interested in buying, I would expect this would be better as a parts car for another Mondial.
