    Good day All,

Just documenting these cars, as they come up... 46013 looks to have a CA BAR sticker which is not very common.

Thanks to Jason for pointing info on 46013:

Updated pics from the dealer, Ferrari of Ft Lauderdale:

I’m not affiliated with these guys at all, but I have had a recent and very positive first-hand experience (purchase of my 458 Speciale) with this dealer and they are straight shooters.

Hopefully this beauty finds a home soon. It’s got to be one of the nicest 400’s I’ve seen in a while.

Price is up to $250k - I say bravo, keep raising the price. 5 speeds in good condition should not be held back and stuck in the sub $100k market, it's just ridiculously low compared to the mass of production cars out there; look at the Porsche and BMW markets, smh. When these are regularly $250k+, we'll all wonder how they were ever any lower...

The percentage of black dots in the photos has been significantly raised, which removes lots of picture details, (and potential defects) . So not a car to be solely judged on the basis of these glamorous photos.

If I could sell my car for 150 I'd do it in an instant.

Omg why would someone pay that when you can get a bunch of examples in Europe just as nice for under $100 and ship it here for $10?

A couple thoughts on why the price premium:

    1) Rarely are these cars in the condition of the car presented here. Getting them to this stage is very expensive $$$.
    2) This car is able to be registered in CA (has the CA BAR sticker/certificate). This commands a high premium.
    3) The 5 speed transmission also adds a premium.

The combo of all of the above makes for a VERY healthy premium. Should it be exactly what the sellers are asking for it? I suppose only a buyer can answer that… that’s the beauty of an open market. But it’s undeniable that this is a very rare unicorn.

Same here Brian. My car does have the potential to get close to my first point, but it’s got a few (ahem) leaks… the engine needs to be resealed since it kind of resembles the Exxon Valdez.

This won’t be an inexpensive fix, but these cars are so worth it! It’s something I’m hoping to tackle in 2023.

My car had all three when I got it. I sold it to a guy in Canada, who, for whatever reason, removed the CA Bar sticker from inside the door. Not sure if CA would give me another one or not.
I would say though as for #1 even with a full engine overhaul, that mine could use a re-spray (all original paint) and a freshening of the interior (no rips, all original, just 40 years of wear) to get to the level of this car.

Doesn't matter what they are worth really as I plan on keeping mine till I can't drive it.

Yes, I think that is a reason "cut off" point when one can no longer drive it - something is that happening to my 412. If anyone is interested in a 1987 Euro Automatic, let me know.
