I'm sure this car will be bought with the purpose of repairing and keeping whole--how long it takes to get to that state (vs. just moving from sitting in one garage and going to another) is another story. But at least, the car looks straight with none of the major trauma that forces a car to the parts bin...The money items here are pretty usual, and not all much different from a lot of drivers--the bumper parts (everyone wants), cardboard seats, nagging electrical...trx tires... After that, just lots of time for someone to tinker on the car--fuel injection pieces, hoses, rubber--not much difference between a car this car and your random car on the lot...Lee

Not so sure that this car hasn't experienced some trauma in it life. Aside from the banged up and missing bumper pieces, the front parking lenses are not original as they are all white while the rear tail lights are reversed and the red ones also are not original.

Even a 400i fuse box in good condition is a bit of a frightening thing to look at but that one is an absolute horror show.

Interesting that it was federalized by Amerispec but there are no rear side marker lights.

As we can see from the pictures the digiplex has been replaced indicating engine work - if we are to believe that it was a runner before being laid up then it might not be too much effort to get it going. Fuse panel looks ok may need new relays, fuses and some stabilant.

Hoses look ok -1500 to replace all hoses if needed

Rear looks really low maybe springs are gone. Window needs fixing - messy time consuming job.

Side bumper can be bought from Eurospares not expensive.

Nice project for someone willing to take risk on engine in my opinion.

Around $8k would make it risk free in money terms -you could put it up for sale again if it had too many suprises.

Why does a MSD replacement of the digiplex ignition indicate "engine work" and not just that the notoriously sensitive digiplex failed at some point?

Not saying that the engine is okay or not okay but I don't see the connection.
