Ha, a blast from the past! I actually looked at and drove this car back in 1998 when I was looking for my car. It was owned by a Southern California owner who was selling it through Intrepid Motors in Reno, Nevada.

At the time, it had 64,000 miles on the odometer and had undergone an engine rebuilding using a replacement block from a 412, I guess sleeved down for 400i pistons. It was a good car although I was a bit concerned about the high mileage at the time and the asking price, which was well above other cars on the market.

I'd be curious as to where it has been and what has happened to it over the past 15 years.

Dealer plates, Nevada history, and no catalytic converters: could spell trouble for a California buyer.

Which is funny, because it was owned by a California owner when I looked at it in 1998. As I said earlier when this surfaced, a lot can happen (or not happen) to a car in 15 years.
