This might have been answered many times before. Have a 1984 Mondial QV that started to misfire below 3000 RPM. When the engine is cold it is ok but as soon as it gets up to normal temp it misfires below 3000 RPM in all gears. Appreciate any suggestions or support. - Anders

Could be a range of things. First thing to try & determine is whether you are losing the whole engine, one bank or just one or two cylinders. In inductive fed timing light will help you to work this out.

If you are losing an entire bank then apart from the coil, the coil to cap HT lead, the cap & the rotor you might also like to check the crankshaft sensors..

For individual cylinders look at the HT leads & also the plug extenders - they commonly burn through.

Thank you - it was a burned through plug extender. Now it runs just fine. Anders
