1985 308 GTS QV Euro Finest on the Planet

When it comes to sales, I have always followed the mantra, "you wont get it, if you don't ask for it." I don't know where the reality is right now on 308s. I do know, that to get a seemingly immaculate restored 308, would be significantly more than the market currently thinks these are worth (and more than $85k).

Saying you don't think the car is worth $85k, when you aren't the one in the market for one, is kinda like complaining about toilet paper being too rough when you don't intend to take a dump.

To the OP, I hope you get every penny of that $85k.

Actually I think your ad approach is very good --- not exactly my style, but to each is own in that regard. And, it did exactly what it should do --- attracted a lot of attention to a car worthy of attracting attention.

I would love to see this car sell for at or near the asking price.

(Although, any day now the TR guys are going to start ****ting kittens if these "lowly 308" prices start getting up there)

 

I just got back from mars today, and I saw the finest 308 there!!

 

Pinpointing the 308 market right now is like nailing jello to the wall. We are in a weird transition point where glass cars have launched, high quality cars are up, good one seem to be moving up, while a lot of the old normal 30k cars are still around, and a few bargains can still be had. I think it's on a general upward trend, but every car is really it's own "market."

I'm new here, but you didnt even list your asking price. What harm would it be to help both buyers and sellers by telling us the sold price. Or at least your asking price.
