Hi all new to forum, I am restoring a 1985 Mondial QV which has come with all engine and engine bay dismantled, we have nearly cracked a big jigsaw puzzle and I am just stuck on the following. There are 2 white block plug connectors on the left side of the engine compartment, the small bottom one we have and is plugged in, the top larger one is missing and nothing there to plug into it, we appear to have a wire missing off the sensor that is on the gear box and also we dont seem to have any wires that plug into the alternator. Could somebody please tell me if this missing plug is for any of these or could shed any further light on this.

    Thanks Chris

That is the plug for the engine harness, it has connections that run under the intake and have: coolant temp, oil pressure, cold start injector, etc.
I would think you can source one from an 85 308 as well.

Yes that is the one we already have connected in the picture, it is the empty one next to it I am stuck on, the things I mentioned in the first message are the ones that are not connected, i need know if any of those things are for that connection, thanks

It appears we do not have an alternator lead, does this plug into that connection or could you please tell me where this lead comes from? Thanks

I may be talking out of turn here but I believe the Digiplex units and possibly the Bosch unit plug into one of the multi connectors.

I believe the alternator definitely does not.

Would you be able to see where the alternator connects to then please?
    Thanks
