The 3.2 was introduced around Sept/85 at an auto show but I think the actual 3.2 production began months earlier. Anyone have any idea or perhaps have an early 3.2 with production date?

I went to Matthias Urban's database and indeed the QV Coupe starting and ending serial numbers differ. As well the 3.2 Coupe starting serial number differs. Matthias has the following: Mondial QV Coupe 1982-1985 41357-59277 vs. 41737-59131 Mondial 3.2 Coupe 1985-1988 59165-79671 vs. 58277-79671
Production always overlaps at a model change. Production of 348 started in March 89 and 328 continued until August. In the US and I suspect Canada as well all 3.2 cars were 86 model year and up. Our smog and safety laws do not allow introduction of a new model any time the factory feels like it.
Probably not much help, but I'm #61329, 86 3.2 cab, built Dec 85. I'm aware that you know they started earlier, but at least you'll know pretty much that any number higher is built in 86. Regards, Brian
