What weight oil do I use in the 328 GTS? It used to be in Sicily and had the work done at Ferrari, but this is just to address some to the engine, I checked and it is about a quart low.

Back in the day when your car was built, Ferrari recommended 10w-40 semi-synthetic (Agip brand) oil.
I’ve owned my 328 for thirty years and have always used Castrol GTX 10w-40 without any issues, but any good quality 10w-40 will work. You can also safely use a 5w-40. Either synthetic or conventional oil is fine in these cars.

Valvoline 20 / 50 racing mineral oil,( it has zinc in it as well ) its really that simple. My 328 has 105,000 miles and its good for another 100,000 miles.

These 328s rev high and the motor compartment gets really hot . My belief is that the heavier weight oil stands up against the heat better. I know Ferrari recommended a synthetic oil, but these cars are now almost 40 years old. A shop once put in Mobile 1, it burned a quart in under 1000 miles, I swapped it out immediately. My car burns ZERO oil in 3000 miles, so I stick with mineral oil and change it every 3000 miles, this seems to work the best. My oil temp and pressure are perfect , drive after drive. I probably have one of the highest mileage 328s in the world, I have to say, the machine is still as strong as it was with 20,000 miles.
