Whole or parts. The car has been in an unheated central New Jersey garage since 2004. 47K miles. Interior looks okay with no musty oder. Paint seems faded but probably just dust covered. (It's been out of the sun). Grey ext / tan int. See also the thread in Silver: "Another fine mess . . .". My sister inherited this and I'm just trying to help her deal with it. I'm listing a price just to comply with Fchat rules. The reality is I'm open to any discussion. $1000. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login

Sister inherited the car from a friend, not a close companion or family member. From the same guy, she also got a Merc 450 drop top which she is driving in Florida. So whatever sorrow might be associated with the loss of the friend, I would say the wound has been salved.
Please post it on the GrassRoots Motorsports forums. Hopefully someone will buy it and take it to their $2,xxx Challenge.
sad to see it so rundown and moldy/rusty etc. These cars are like a british version of agen 2 camaro with rolls royce interior. One of the fastest runs I ever did in car was ina xjs in South africa, we crushed what was normally a fast 1hr drive to 37 mins. basically had it floored nearly the whole time. These cars can really eat up the road at speed, alas those roads and conditions dont exist anymore. not to sound snarky, but maybe 100 years from now when this is 1 of 2 XJS left it will be worth putting right. It must have been running when parked, such a pity, but I understand even good ones are not worth it and will torment one to death.
I’ll ask some of the car idiots I know. There’s a few who like a good sweat equity project, and worthwhile ones are becoming harder to find. edit: how much rust??
all you have to do is store it in the garage of houses you have listed for sale. house sells, call AAA and move it to another house. easy peasy

Took the wife's XJS and a brit buddy down to the Annapolis sailboat show back in the day...he was looking at a trimaran. We still cackle at that top down drive at 'excessive' speeds. Hint: Never a cop on a bridge.
Last call. If anybody wants this PM me and come with a flatbed. It's yours. Car is near Red Bank / Eatontown NJ.
Had an XJS in my younger days. Great looking car, fast, drove well, girls loved it, but was a nightmare on snowy roads with all that weight up front and had a right side blind spot that was an absolute kiss of death and very nearly got me killed at 70 mph. Sold it shortly thereafter.
