As a teenager visiting Miami, Fla. in 1986, I was blown away by one leaving the local De Tamaso dealership. I still have the pics. Awesome car. Wish I had the funds.
All Panteras with a 9000 serial number were made at the factory. This one looks fantastic and well cared for. Best of luck with the sale! LS
The DeTomaso Pantera, from basically any year, is the best supercar bargain ever. A Mangusta, Italia, Apollo, or Bizzarini, or you name the Italo-American is stratospherically priced by comparison. A Pantera is as gorgeous, fun, exiting to drive, with an awesome non-grinding gearbox, windows that work, AC that works, and good ol' 'merican V8 reliability thumping you along. Had mine for 9 years and several thousand trouble free miles. Okay, so there were 6k or so made, with maybe half left, and half of those modded out of recognition, you're talking a smallish pool. This GT5S is even rarer, looks as good, and has a cool swagger you just don't find in many cars. Love it, best wishes.
The car is still available, no pressure to sell. Appreciate all the support. It is a serious Ferrari, Lamborghini contender, with outrageous looks and performance. Extremely rare show stopper.
