LarryH, congrats. I was watching that auction. Your car is/was gorgeous. A dream car for me. I think you got good money for it. Everyone says iconic this, and iconic that. But I really feel that the 930 is such an iconic car. Especially in person. And as you know, fairly bulletproof. No one knows the future, no one. But I feel like the 930 will be desirable for a while. Especially glad you chose to sell now, and not a year before, when prices were a lot lower.

thanks I was very pleased with the price.. The car IS very nice truthfully BAT would only run the auction with a low reserve but having watched enough auctions on BAT I knew the market would speak..and I agree the 930 is not only one of the most beautiful cars of its day it was very unique in the way it drove I can see how it earned the name the widow maker ....

well done! They’ve become VERY picky with the volume coming in (a little birdie told me they have 83 911’s in the que…)

Top cars get top dollar. Yours was no exception! Congrats.

About a year ago I bought a Guards red one (86/930). I really did not want that color, probably my least favorite, but a mechanic I had worked with had just finished with the car, and had it for sale. And it has always been my dream.
Anyway, I was so concerned about what you are saying that I took it to a track, not to go 10/10ths, but just to see about the snap throttle oversteer. It may be my tires, but I felt it was pretty stable/forgiving. However, in the rain, just on the street, and again, this is probably my tires, it seems pretty dangerous.

That car of Larry H’s iconic. Perfect color and condition. Later ones are fast and better but that was “it” for 930’s. They did have a bit of a peaky powerband but with current tires I thought they were manageable. Better than say a 911s from the late 70’s with the skinny ass XWX’s. Looks like a really nice car that sold well.
