Hello new member and received my 1986 monospecchio last week. Problems started immediately, battery died soon after drove off trailer. Charged it left car running for 10 minutes. Noted battery from 2018 replaced battery with new one. Car started immediately but now stalls at low speed, approaching a stop car stalls. It does restart but I’m very worried about stalling in an intersection or on a highway. I’ve read that stalling is a common problem. Possible remedy is balancing fuel banks? Of course dealer I purchased from said never happen to them but I’m sure that’s not a problem that just occurred with me? Car had engine out service before i took delivery. Can this common problem be permanently fixed? video of engine idling rough, low then loud, low then loud too large to upload…
Thank you for your help & advice

Are you in Ontario? If so try to message tbakowsky on here, he is a professional and in your neighbourhood. Members and scroll down to find a member type in tbakowsky and start a conversation. And who the H$ll told you stalling was a common issue? Ive had my 86 for 20 years and it doesn’t stall! These are amazing cars but need a knowledgeable mechanic to sort them! Good luck

My ‘86 mono did almost EXACTLY the same thing upon delivery. It was a ‘what did I just do moment’ as I watched it stall repeatedly coming off the truck. And it too was fresh off an engine out yada yada yada.

You might be on the right track because the remedy for mine was simply that it needed the banks balanced. Good luck.

Although there is a wealth of information on this site there is also a significant amount misinformation. Like I said previously, Testarossa’s do not stall and if it does there can be a number of reasons with an out of balance air/fuel system being just one possible cause. Reach out to Tom, he will reply and steer you in the right direction.

Just curious, is this happening when the car is warm, cold or at all times?

Banks unbalanced stalling should be when cold.
