I've had my '87 328 GTS for several years and just noticed the prior owner removed the third brake light at the top of the rear window. The only thing there is an ugly angle iron bracket (with the wiring for the light tucked inside the roof).

I was hoping someone could post pictures of their 3rd brake light from both inside and out to see what I'm missing. Thanks in advance.

Do you just want to see pics of the light as it is mounted, or do you need to see it removed and apart?

Intersting ... mine came in exactly the same state.

The previous owner never had it on, and I haven't tried to fit it. Does it create a blind spot?

Just my 2 cents, but I'd store the 3rd brake light in the closet for the next caretaker of your car to keep for posterity. I have an '88GTB and the blind spot this un-necessary, unwanted protrusion creates makes it a real pain to see much out the rear window. From what I have seen, the Euro models don't have this problem - lucky them!

    Ciao,

    Vincent

I just ordered the cover and light as neither came with my car. Hoping it doesn't create too bad a blind spot, but wanted to try and get my car to as original as possible. As with all other parts, the cover and light weren't cheap, so I hope I don't hate it!

    Appreciate everyone's help
