Currently looking for a muffler system for a 1987 328 GTS (Euro version). Not having much luck with the usual Ferrari parts sources. Any direction appreciated. BHW
I have a factory 328 exhaust available, removed from my 20k miles 1987 Euro 328. Its perfect. The only issue for you may be I'm in the UK.
There is usually at least one (or more) available on one of the europeans E-Bay somewhere in Europe at any given time. Problem would be shipping... For instance this morning in Germany (no affiliation with the seller). http://www.ebay.de/itm/Ferrari-328-tb-ts-308-Schalldaempfer-/252506993742?hash=item3aca96f44e:g:wXEAAOSwymxVJmJJ Rgds
PD Gough in the uk will make them in 304 stainless - they have a pic on their web site of the 328 manifolds and link pipes. They ship world wide and they made me an exhaust box for my mondial, great quality and workmanship, graet sound as well. I have a pic of the mondial box if u want to see the finish
As far as I know, the pool of "euro" 328s in the USA is rather small...note that, unless I am mistaken, the 308 QV in "euro" version has the same silencer... The "Mondial" perhaps also, but this should be cross-checked. Rgds
Well, the 308 QV exhaust box for "euro" QVs and the 328 for "Euro" cars are externally identical, but something must be different because they do not have the same Ferrari part number: QVs have part # 118353 and 328s have 127942 (and 19131 for German-market cars, which had a more muted exhaust per regulations, and 129407 for swiss cars before they switched to the catalysed engine mid 1987) Rgds
