For sale but not in a hurry. $95,000 US but open to serious offers ZFFXA20A8H0067653 The car is a GOOD driver. I would jump in it tomorrow and drive it ANYWHERE with no fear at all. I drove over 4000km this summer. Original blu chiaro fer503/c car with crema interior. Everything work, power euro mirrors, A/C, heater etc. Radio antenna not working but I haven't check it as I never listen to radio. Engine starts right up with perfect idle and no smoke. Always keep a below half temperature even in heavy and slow traffic with A/C on. Second gear won't go in when cold but all perfect when warm. The paint looks very good. Have some very small blems but nothing bad. I just installed 4 new tires about two months ago. Interior is also in good condition with no rips or damaged theads. One very small blemish on the console. The seats and doors have been dyed by a previous owner. I bought the car from a Ferrari club member in Montreal who bought it from another member. It used to be owned by a well known Ferrari mechanic of the Montreal area named Elio. I have no tools, no jack, no books and no history. Correct spare tire is there. I'm in the Ottawa area in Canada but the car is now in storage further north(Rouyn-noranda) in a heated showroom. I'm willing to do new belts and tensionners for the next owner free of charge. I was quoted by TFX transport $5000 US to ship anywhere in the US in enclosed trailer. That includes all the paperwork to import the car you only pay your taxes or fee to the US. Don't ask me how much are the taxes and fee I DON'T KNOW check with your state! It can be less if shipped to a closer area as I ask for the most expensive area. Beautiful 328! Blu Chiaro is a very special color - my ‘86 412 is the same and it gets tons of compliments. Best of luck with the sale!
Like I said I have no history so it's hard for me to know. The car is stock as far as I know. Everything looks factory stock. Sound like a stock exhaust too. Engine compartment look totally stock also and is clean. The windshield is NOT the OEM Ferrari one, so it's been replaced. The shifter ball is chrome so been replaced too. The steering wheel had silver screws as you can see in the pictues but I replaced them with black ones like it should. I also guess the EURO mirrors were NOT original so someone must have replaced them but I can't certifie that. Also, apparently the engine lid has been replaced because of a damage when working on the engine. If you have something else in mind please let me know and I will answer to the best of my knowledge.
BTW if anybody of the Montreal area read this and know the car you are welcome to post any comments good or bad. I was looking for a nice driver 328 and found exactly what I was after in this car. It drives nice, feels solid, it has been reliable for me and I have nothing to hide. This is NOT a showroom queen and I did'nt want one as I like to DRIVE my cars with no fear. When I bought the car I was told that the previous owner Elio (the Ferrari mechanic) told the guy from who I bought the car it had been serviced and not to worry about the belts for a few years. Because I have no proof of when it was done I will do the belts and tensionners before spring to be safe.
I can't confirm ! I tried to contact the previous owner today but he wasn't there. I will be back with more info when I have it.
Okay here are more info I got speaking to the previous owner. Roberto. Roberto bought the car from Ferrari Quebec witn a trade-in. Now, many years ago this car was in the Trois-Rivieres Quebec area owned by a Lawyer who perform most of his maintenance himself. After doing some work on the car he started the car and the throttle was stock WOT and the engine reved so high the flywheel grenaded through the bellhousing and engine hood. He had the damaged estimated and collected the money from the insurance company. He gave the car in trade as is to Ferrari Quebec where Elio was working at the time. Elio bought the car as he had a front hit 1987 328 with 14000km and swapped the engine and hood as it was easy and quick. So the engine is NOT original but has much less miles than the car. This may deter many buyers but this is the truth and I have nothing to hide about the car. And believe me this is A VERY NICE DRIVER VERY FUN TO OWN AND DRIVE.
Very honnestly can someone confirm with no doubt if a motor is original or not ? It comes from the same year and model. Why would the value be less ? Especially with a low milage engine which is better. For me it's the same GOOD car, or even better.
Interesting point of view. So in your mind, a car could be a complete Frankenstein but if the parts are meant to be for the car being sold it should not impact the value? Really? It would take a pretty good salesman to pull that one off!
Live in Los Angeles and I would not make an offer on a Ferrari that had zero paperwork, no known history, and a replacement engine. But that's just me!
It's not like Ferrari at that time had matching engine serial numbers like the 60s American musclecars. It's the same part, what does it matter?
Hilarious! This may seem really out of left field but in the exotic car market things like: 1. # of owners 2. Service History extensive 3. Actual mileage 4. modifications 5. accidents 6. Paint meter readings 7. Location of previous owners 8. Originality and on & on There is no group that is more detailed and and rightfully so than the Ferrari owners. I have had quite a few and sold them and no one I was ever selling to would ever take you seriously after that statement.
If that's what you're after why did you asked me questions ? My ad is CLEAR, no books, no tools and no history and the car you're after is NOT at all in this price range.
I don't know how many exotics you've owned and how experimented you are but there is one fact that I'm sure. You will find a much nicer 328 with all his books, tools and history and nice original paint with low miles but it will NOT BE A BETTER CAR. And for much more money. Many different cars for many different buyers. Good luck in your search and hope you find the right car for you !
So why are you wasting time with all of the questions? The OP is trying to sell a car and if you have no intention on buying or making an offer then you should leave the ad alone and move along. OP, glws.
