Interesting vehicle and the highest mileage that I have ever seen on one of these. It really has been driven and looks fairly tidy for the mileage. The spotty service history, particularly recently, will definitely work against a good price unless someone knowledgeable is able to do an actual PPI before the auction.

Interesting that the headlights can be in the "up" position without being "on".

Mine do that - I presume for cleaning or maintenance.

You mean that you actually drive the car in conditions where it might actually get dirty????? Wow, who knew you could do that with these cars?! ;)

I seem to recall that you could do that, maybe by shutting off the ignition with the headlights on and up and then rotating the headlight switch to the off position or something like that.

:D LOL :D Good one Aidan, have they been hounding you lately :)

This used to happen to me all the time 'til I got the hang of it. The trick, if you can call it that, is to push the lever down without rotating the knob…this brings the headlight buckets up without turning them on. I kept mistakenly hitting mine when signaling a left-hand turn when I first got the car…rather embarrassing
I'm pretty sure (but not absolutely certain) that if you leave the headlight stalk in the middle position with the knob rotated to the 'on' position, and turn the ignition off, the buckets stay up & lights on (& the motor stops turning :) ).
