    This link will get you a copy of the 488/87 wiring diagram for euro 3.2 Mondial and CH88 3.2 Mondial (the US Microplex ignition system should be very similar, if not identical, to the euro Microplex ignition system):

    My initial suspects would be having no output from one of the flywheel sensors during starter motor cranking (if either signal is bad, both banks will have no ignition). Good Hunting!
