Fellow Ferrari Enthusiasts looking for a 1988 Black/Black 328 GTS, After wonderful years 17 years of ownership, I am sad to say I’m letting her go. And truthfully, since moving to southern IL (East of St. Louis) six years ago, I am just not able to drive it and enjoy it like I used to. It’s time. Hoping to find someone that will enjoy it as much as I have. This has been one the greatest experiences anyone could ask for and believe it or not I still love seeing it parked in my garage every day (covered of course). I found the vehicle through this website from a great guy in NC. He didn’t even have the car officially listed for sale. I basically posted a “Wanted” message on Ferrari Chat which then led me to getting in contact with him and then purchasing my dream Ferrari! Year later, someone else on this website also told me that based on my chassis number (74333), this was the first Black/Black 328 GTS built in the 1988 model year. The production tag does list this as being produced in September 1987. When I bought the car, it had several owners and 34,500 miles on it (you can probably see that in a CarFax report). After many years of fun drives on the PA roads, multiple Platinum awards from the Reading Concours de ‘Elegance (Thank You Pietro for such a memorable event. We miss you!), it now has 53,6225 miles. It’s all original except for the TUBI exhaust, which was on the vehicle when I bought it, and an upgraded stereo system (always liked my music while driving). I’m scheduled to have a full service done in a few weeks at Cavallino Rosso St. Louis, so it will be all up to date and ready to go for many more years! Did some research and based on the vehicle condition, year and miles, I’m asking what I believe is a fair and reasonable price of $87,000. If interested, need more information, pictures, etc. please reach out to me through a PM. Thank you. Great color, I own his older brother ....a 1989, otherwise, the same!. I think your price is more than reasonable for such a well kept car
I appreciate the comments. You never know if someone is being too aggressive with their pricing so it is always good to get feedback. The guy I bought from offered a good price based on the market back then and I wanted to do the same today. Thank You.
I just dropped off the car at Cavallino Rosso in St. Louis this morning, which means it will be fully serviced with belts, gaskets, fluids, bearings, etc. Nice facility! Can't wait until it's done. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Lovely car from a fellow Saint Louisan (and former 18 year 328 owner myself)...GLWS! Hopefully you get another fcar soon.
Just my point of view but Black is best color to a GTS ( From an ex Black GTS owner ) Can you please confiem the color code ? Nero 1240 solid or Nero Met 901/C ? I think this one was sold new in Illois, could you please disclose the original selling dealer ? Good luck for the sale
Actually you could not since the dealers are all selling over MSRP - And even if you could would you rather own a Chevy or an iconic, beautiful, exotic, rare, well-cared-for Ferrari? And no disrespect to C8s or their owners - my best friend bought a beautiful Hypersonic Grey Z51 and it is amazing - But it is a Chevy nonetheless and they are everywhere. To @MJT328GTS - FWIW I think your car is beautiful and very reasonably priced for someone who a) knows Ferrari's and b) would actually want to buy and own it and not flip it trying to be some snot-nosed financial whizkid. I have always wanted a 328 and if I had the room and time to give her the proper attention (and if my 355 would not get jealous ) I would snap it in a heartbeat. You won't need the "L" but GLWS - Cheers
I agree 100%. You bring this car to a cars & coffee and park it next to a C8 and let’s see how many people flock to 328 and take pictures of it.
Great thread. Migrated from big block C2 big block corvettes and rare C1 Corvettes to my Dino and 328– yes it costs several hundred thousand but screw it— life is short!
I had a 575M. Well optioned. Pretty car but outdated. A loaded C8 is superior in every way except exhaust note. Miss a v12 exhaust sound.
Brother Bruce, If you don't like what is in this post, don't like the car, don't like how it smells or how it stinks, that is all ok by us. What puzzles me is that you are a seasoned member here and you should know better. If you have nothing nice to say, it is best you don't say anything and move on. C-8 chat should not be part of this thread. Sounds to me you missed your 575M very much and you want it back, but the price jumped and you are not happy. Why you have not purchased a C-8 yet? It is because you still love F cars and I assume that is why you are still a member here. Let's respect the seller and the car his selling and wish him much sucess to achieve his goal. It is a beautiful car and a good example for the right buyer.
