Hopefully someone can resolve this issue conclusively because it can get very confusing. I am trying to find out what precisely should be in the bulb and fuse container for the 1989 GTB. Also, what color should the container be (there seems to be a few different colors)? Hopefully someone can help clarify this. Photos would be great too.

Well, it must be the 457th times I answer that question, but nevermind...

The USUAL bulb box is here enclosed. 328 had blade fuses that were usually held by being pushed against the box sides by the foam
Some older version have the small plastic bridge to hold the blade fuses in a box originally manufactured for round ones.
Even in 1988-1989, for some cars the older green "rotor" box was still offfered.
Remember that bulb boxes for "Euro" cars had a headlight bulb in the central "cradle", not a spark plug.

Thank you for reply. Just so I am clear, the top photo you posted is how a late model US car bulb/fuse case should appear? The below photo (with the fuse) is a European bulb/fuse case? Also, if this matters, most of the cases I've seen are yellow. Does that sound correct? Thanks for your help.

What you have to keep in mind is that the boxes themselves are from a type that was manufactured in Italy for about twenty years and used for most italian cars of the sixties, seventies and eighties, but sometimes with different emplacement inside, for different bulbs.

So you see many of these boxes for sale, but unless you see the actual bulb box from a car that was sold new, you cannot be sure for which car they are correct; to the best of my knowledge, most 328s bulb boxes came with gray tops, not yellow (but a small number may have received yellows?)

The below photo from the two that I have posted above is from an US car, because it has a spark plug in the central "cradle": had it been from an "Euro" car, you would have had a headlight bulb here. Both would work with a US or an Euro car.
Here enclosed is a bulb box of the green "Rotor" type, which is usually associated with 308, not 328, but "updated" with the blade fuse holder, and found in a 1989 swiss 328.

That's the "old", 308-era, green "Rotor" box (some do not have "Rotor" stamped on the top) "updated" to hold blade fuses against the side of the box, with foam; the round emplacements for the older, round fuses, are still there, but empty, in the bottom of the box.
