b/c he is a registered dealer, and that doesn't count toward ownership in a carfax profile, it's a consignment.

 

But he indicated he purchased it back, hence the second owner.

You guys should be more courteous and polite when a legitimate question is asked. Just because someone says something does not make it true. If a guy says he sold a car and bought it back, it is clearly not a one owner car. And if the owner is lying about something as obvious and as basic as this--and he is antagonistic with answers--then it makes one wonder what else is questionable. You guys may be the greatest Ferrari sales people on earth, but you wouldn't know it from this thread.

 

Thank you, apparently there's at least one other person that gets it. I too was surprised and a little disappointed by some of the responses. It was a legitimate concern/question.

I have no idea, but that would make it a "one owner" car in most people's minds...most (all?) of us don't count the dealers as "owners".

 

Well perhaps, but then he could've said that instead of saying it's true because he said so. I guess we won't know unless he tells us or somebody does vin search on it.

 

New to the forum and have no idea who Yellow Compass is...but I would hesitate to call someone who is as dismissive as he appears here. I too had the same question about 1 owner status as I read through the thread. Seems if it is an important enough point to have taken the time and space to mention in the ad, then it would seem to be a no-brainer to provide an appropriate and complete answer to the question. Just sayin'.

Most people commenting aren't serious buyers so I can see where the seller can get annoyed. If someone is serious contact him directly.
