Would appreciate the brotherhoods' opinion on the matter of painting the black spoiler and lower valence to match the rest of the body like the newer 348's. There are some scrapes and a small crack that I want to take care of anyway.

If you like the monochrome color scheme, go for it. Personally I have a thing for short black skirts. ;)

The black is quite a bit easier to repair/repaint, something that will occasionally be necessary if you drive the car.

Yep yep, it's all about personal preference. When I repainted my car last year, I painted all of the matte black sections glossy to match the car and couldn't be happier with the results. It's a black 348, and the gloss black of the car just seemed to clash with the matte black of the lower valence. I think it looks fantastic now with the uniform gloss look. This includes the previously matte black sections such as the lower valence, the section of the read deck lid near the rear glass, the targa top, and the insides of the scoops at the quarter panel windows. I even went so far are to have my door sills in a matching glossy black, but to be fair, I don't know if the sills would work with any other color of car. Anyway, I would highly recommend it, but that's just my personal preference.

I painted it white to match the car. Couldn't be happier. Totally changed the look of the car IMHO.

    More modern.

However, the stone chips are harder to address.

Thanks for the opinions. Think I will go ahead and paint the valance when I do the repairs. You guys are the best!
