    The battery in my 348 need to be changer. No brainer I thought. Can anyone tell me the trick to removing the battery. Checked my manuals but no help. Did some searches but no help there either. Help!

    what are your questions? You can't find the battery or you found it but can't remove it?

    The battery in a 1990 348ts is in the left rear corner. If it's small enough, it can be removed (with some difficulty) from above. If it's normal sized, it has to be removed from inside the wheel well. Just jack it up, remove the LR tire (use a jack stand for safety), and remove the rear section of the inner fender liner (4 screws). Then you can remove the hold-down clamp, unbolt the battery terminals, and remove the battery.

    Remember, if the battery is disconnected, you should re-initialize the Motronic ECU's when restarting the car.

    And by that I believe Miltonian means to fire it up, and leave it in neutral and let it idle for about 15 minutes.
