Funny stuff...why is everyone here (non buyers all, me included) worried about the small governmental fees associated with a purchase of this car?

I suspect whomever buys this amazing F40 will not worry too much about the $30k for duty and potentially sales tax (arizona and montana are two that I know personally don't charge sales tax on this private party transaction).

Add Nevada to the list ... a friend of mine is looking for an F40 but when i told him about this one, he cleared he wants the much more rare LM edition. And yes, i agree with you, with this kind of money 30K is not that much !

One would have to pay the sales tax when it is registered.

Still available. Lots of interest but as soon as it hits the car is not in the US (allthough it is mentioned in the add) people wander off.

To inform (in my honost opinion) if this car would be for sale on US soil I am sure this immaculate beauty will get $1,5m+, on a dealers inventory maybe even more.

Like said the price is $1.2m including shipping. Shipping will be by plane so transit time should be around 3 weeks after the financials have been taken care of.

Viewings are also no problem and more then welcome but please ask via PM for more details.

That's the problem, many cannot drive it due to or will not drive it due to the low milage. It becomes art. My SIGO has a 6000 mile Boxer, I don't like to put miles on it. On the other hand I've put over 55k on a loud obnoxious Challenge car and my ears ring. That said I think we'll drive her F40 today, as it has a few mile on it.

I've always liked the Euro cars better. More often they are lighter and faster-is this not so?

And so does US Customs. They also check other websites. I had to show them PMs from F-Chat as well as emails confirming the price of a car I imported. According to customs, if they sense something is wrong, they will seize the car on the spot, and the burden of proof is on you.
