I saw this on Craigslist: http://sacramento.craigslist.org/car/782720201.html Talk about an enthusiastic driver!!!
car looks pretty bad ass. id love to put that many miles on an fcar, one day!! let's just hope I can afford the upkeep!
I've never loved 348's but this car is an exception. It looks great blacked out and lowered. Any idea what upkeep would be like at this point? What would I need to watch out for on a on-going basis? I have a 91 911 C4 which is also pretty expensive to maintain but this is probably in another league.
You can pick up a used 348 motor for 8K so it might be worth taking a chance. Get a PDI with compression and leakdown.
I wouldnt be suprised if the compression is still good and leakdown is fine. Car probably still runs hard and fast. You would probably get another 100,000 miles out of that engine. After all, Ferraris make the best engines in the world. (On that note. Here is a thread that shows HEAPS of high mileage Ferraris on their original engines I think) http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=207785
It's still good news that these cars can hold up for this long. I'm going to assume that there is not a file cabinet of service records coming with the car LOL.
