I'd like to get new wheels to replace the oem 16'' wheels on my car. I like the HRE wheels; spoke with them ...said to go to a 17'' wheel the 540 series... no spacers needed ,no change in handling. How about speedline? Now I need your advice. What mfgr., what size wheels[16,17,or18''], do I need spacers? I track the car about 4 times a year and would like better handling etc. What wheels would be a good compromise for track and street and what tires? Presently I use stock wheels with Michelin pilot sport, 205/16 on front and 225/16 on rear. Please give me the right combo. Also any shops on L.I., NYwhere the work would be done?

no need to use spacers if you get the offset right.
Choose whichever wheel you like the most (as long as they arent too heavy)

Use the search feature to find Mondial-compatible rims and spacers. There are several excellent threads on the topic.

    Rubber:
If you're _very_ serious about tracking, I hear Potenzas are good.
If you want good tires for the track and great tires for the road, I highly recommend Goodyear Eagle GS-D3.
