I just got a 91 348 a month ago and I've never used a chat system before. The information that is available is great, I just hope I don't screw this up to bad. The door wiring was a mess. Went through it last night removed the fitting and hard wired everything, soldered all. All wiring matched up by color code nicely EXCEPT the last two. Wired them together, no other options, turned things on and everything worked EXCEPT the windows. Jump powered the last hard wired connection and the windows worked as well as they ever have but obviously this doesn't tell me anything but that the window motors work. Can anyone tell me if their is a fuse that the power windows runs through and if so where the bloody H--- is it located?

In the passenger side foot well (were you passengers feet would rest) is a panel behind the carpet. Pull down said carpet and you will find a metal plate. Undo the 2 snap screw at the top, and pull the panel down. There you will find the fuses and relays for the window system. There is a legend printed on the panels back side to tell you what fuse and relay does what.

Also check the wiring in the other door aswell.

Well first of all, welcome to Ferrarichat. Second, welcome to the 348 brotherhood.

There is a fuse pannel behind the passenger side foot well. All you have to do is grab ahold of the top and pull it down, you'll then have access to the fuses and relays behind it.

You may also want to do this. http://ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=106031&highlight=slow+windows

Also check to make sure that the window switches in the doors are connected properly. If the connector isn't attached properly to the back of the switch you won't be able to control the window.

    To all,
Your responses had the window problem fixed with the replacement of one fuse! Thanks to all for the assist.
Now I'm trying to replace the handle cable so I can put my door back together. The cable I bought appears to be an up grade from the original. Hope I can get it back in and working. Moderately embarrasing to park and have to reach outside to open the door.

Glad to hear you got it fixxed.

As for the door handle, have a look at the condition of the plastic clip that holds the cable to the lever. The clip on my car broke and the cable came out of the hole. I had to do they same, reach outside to open the door, thing you are doing until I replaced the clip.
