I'm thinking about buying a friends 1991 car. Top latches broken, scrape on right side, cam seals leaking, needs tires, needs front seats re-done, needs new carpet. 30k miles.

I thinking great car for Tahoe, but will probably need all of the above fixed. I'm thinking 20k maximum. Any ideas?

my thoughts are if you know about these faults...what else is lurking? I would get a full checkover done by a pro and go from there.

    Art,

I dunno man. A Mondial T in pretty much any shape will bring better money than that. I see salvage title wrecked cars go for $20K. More power to 'ya if you can get it done though.

$20K plus another $20K to make her presentable and you will have a car worth $38K. Agree that it would make a great Tahoe car in the summer.

think it would be more than lowest 'blue-book' of $40k...., more like a $45k car.
