Looking for a GOOD VALUE on a non advertised 1992-1994 - Yellow/White/Red or Silver 512 TR. Car needs to be under 7,000 miles. Not looking to pay retail but will pay FAIR market value for a good car.

The spread between a 1992 and a 1994 512TR in my opinion is double the 1992 for the 1994 , providing they both have minus 7000 miles.

Regardless of the recent downturn in the TR Market I dont think a "blue chip uber low mileage 512" will be sold at bargain prices..

I would sell my 3000 mile 1994 512 TR for what the last 1994 with 3000 miles sold for..
It is common knowledge in the TR section what that price was..

what has transpired in the past 5 years is...That...Ultra low mileage cars are not affected by the downturn or they just dont sell..at a certain point if someone wants that level of car, they will pay full retail..

Best of luck in your search!!

Retail and fair market value are the same thing.

If someone is willing to pay X, that's market value at that moment and place.

Have you seen some of the asking prices on cars? $340-360 for a 8-10,000 mile 1992 car is retail.

My honest opinion, (and opinion by many historians, dealers, collectors I have spoken to) for a 1992 fair market? $250-300k.

Absurd prices aren't retail either. If the car does not sell its not a data point. $300k sounds right to me.

One advantage on the 1994 models (I think) is Ferrari had changed to the much improved differential. Perhaps some of the F-Chatter's can tell us exactly when Ferrari made the change, year, and what vin number.

I think his pricing expectation is reasonable. You can certainly pick up a sub 7000 mile TR for 250-300K right now.

Piggy backing here as well. Have a WTB ad in the boxer section but cannot place an ad here. My demands are not what the OP is looking at.

That price looked cheap for a 94 with 18000 miles listed on their ad but looking at the photos
the odo shows 29823 miles. Makes sense now.
