In 1993, the guys in the Quebec group of FCA convinced the organizers of the Montreal Grand Prix that it would be great to have 30 Ferraris do a few laps before the main event. It was an amazing thing to do, and the crowd went wild. We had a pace car to control the speed, but I stayed on his tail so he would speed up.

Just before we started, we lined up on the grid. Here's me and #2966.

    Was anyone else there?

When asked about doing it again in 1994, Bernie said OK - but it would cost us 6 figures to do.

I can't imagine something like this happening at a modern GP.

Very cool. I was there in 91,92, and 94 so I missed your on track appearance. I also raced there in 98 so I'm pretty familiar with the track. The second photo is from what is now called the Senna S which is essentially the 2nd corner on the track after start finish.

Parade laps like this are not terribly uncommon especially in Europe. Even so it is a wonderful experience and made for some terrific photos and memories.
