I am seeking some advice concerning purchasing a 512 TR. I have been browsing the market and came across a couple 92-94 512 TR's. The 94 that I really like is a Euro spec car that was imported. Does this negatively affect the value at all? The car is exceptionally clean for having 20k miles. All advice is greatly appreciated!

    Thanks,

    Calvin

Has the car been previously titled/registered in this country.
If all paperwork is in order..I would not hesitate..if the price was right.

What price?, the worst you could get is a frown when re selling on a car this rare.

Yes it has been titled and registered in the United States before without issue. Price is 180k which with the current market doesn't seem out of line?

Wow, I had the opportunity last year to purchase one with fewer miles for $80k. Have they really gone up that much?

I would estimate that less 94 512TR's were made world wide than 512M's

If you pass on it let me know!

From what I've seen I think so. Marshall Goldman in Ohio had a 92&93 512TR's and they sold for somewhere in the 170k range, they were lower mile examples though.

Impact: No, little to no impact from a resale perspective (assuming it is federalized no admin work on your end)...is it the Black one? if it is look down at some prior threads and it recently was sold at auction for far less.

I think the price is way too high IMO, but pay what you're comfortable paying and what it's worth to you. Even though list prices for the older cars are very high they are selling for considerably less.

Also keep in mind Marshall G is always listing way over market (to their credit they tend to have better examples) and their list prices are just something put out for the masses to chew on. Example they had 89 Mercedes 560SL asking $38k w/18kmi...do a little market research and you will see it was an excessive asking price.

yes...especially since you can just go down to the used car factory and pick up a new one.
