The interior looks spectacular considering the 70k+ miles. Now how does one explain the cars with "only" 15k miles with bolster wear almost through the leather??

The car has app. 71k miles on it (53k on the original engine, 18 on the new one). Still a low price for a 355. Autoquest is a pretty friendly dealer. I have dealt with Gavin Riches there and he was a no pressure type that was a pleasure to have met. I was test driving a Panoz Roadster, but ended up buying something else.

given its history, mid to low 40's price is about right.....imho. assuming the car has no other hidden issues and the rebuilt engine was done properly, it's probably not a bad buy esp. if you plan to keep it for a long time.

I thought about this one; for me the color wasn't right. But if it were red, I'd be tempted. It's a nice cheap way to get into a nice 355. I don't want a garage queen, and this would be a perfect driver where more miles won't further hurt value (that's already knocked down from the engine swap)

I talked with them a while back wehn I first saw the ad on EBay. they were very forthcoming with answers to any questions. You should not that they are approximating the total mileage. They know exactly the new odo readings, but the original mileage is a best guess.

I am personally concerned about other items on/in the car with that kind of wear. Trans? Engine assessories? Suspension parts? Brake system? Adjustable suspension? Electronics? There are alot of systems on a 355 - many more than a 348 - that are subject to wear and tear.

I shyed away from it even at this attractive price. Figure it's a $60K car with 30K miles in near perfect condition. Deduct for miles and potential repairs and I end up with a mid-40's car. BTW, They don't know if the valves were upgraded to steel from the bronze ones. They cannot tell you what kind of headers are on the car - if they are stock, they will break for sure sometime.

Eyes open, see the car in person, order a PPI from a really thorough shop. If all checks out, grab it like u stole it! :D
