Thanks Pap! It looks stunning in person, the low resolution of the uploaded images takes away from it quite a bit. Weather looks good for next week, time to get her out.
I bet it does mate, would be stunning in person! I am currently fixing the a/c in my car. Thanks for sharing the part number from your a/c compressor. I will be back on the road tomorrow, but I am working. I have to take a friends two boys for a drive while they visit on school holidays. So I will get that done on my next days off next week. Hope you enjoy the weekend with the family mate, take care and enjoy.

Took some quick snaps in the garage of my car and my friends 98 Berlinetta with a DSLR. Captures the car much better than my old iphone 5S. With the rear fender liners cleaned up and repainted, I had a chance to get to the front fender liners as they were looking a bit tired compared to the rest of the car. Removed the wheels, unscrewed the liners and out they came. Cleaned them up, and gave them two coats of stoneguard and a finishing coat of satin black. Now to reinstall. Thanks PAP, that's the idea I'm slowly getting through a list of items to attend to with the odd new one cropping up now and again. The list is getting shorter though, it's come along way. And I have been enjoying driving it whilst working on it.
Great to hear man. Doing a little bit along the way will definitely get on top of it and you will have a great car for many years to come. I wish I had the time to do the same, but not at this point in my life. Take care and enjoy the new week mate.
Took the car out with the Ferrari Club NSW to stretch her legs, I'm no stranger to the track but had a 4 year break from competing and my first time with my pride and joy I took it very easy and just enjoyed the car. It was great to open her up on the long straight reaching high rpm in 5th gear was fun. Happy to report she performed well, all temperatures in check and we left the way she came, minus the brake dust and a few dead bugs. Brakes faded after 5 hard laps but the pedal never went to the floor. A switch from OEM pads to more track orientated pads would probably have been suffice. Another bucket list item ticked off the list - drive a Ferrari on the track : ) Don't know if id take her again, I prefer a track orientated car for this purpose. I'd like to get her on the skid pan to learn her limits in a safe environment perhaps. The stock suspension seems quite soft too. Id love to see what a Fiorano kitted car feels like or better yet the ultimate 355... a Challenge. I entered the car into the state concours early on into my ownership, with only having attended to the interior and sticky parts. So it was with great surprise that the car took out Gold in the Ferrari Club NSW Concorso d'Eleganza 2015 with 94.75 points. This year the club switched the judging scores to reflect the international standards so to get a Gold or Platinum is a great acknowledgement. With all the effort and work into the car since the judging in April, I'm certain the car will be of Platinum level next year. I enjoy the effort required in getting the car to concours level. I won with my 2004 360 Spider but having only 14k kms on it, and being a lot newer was nothing like the challenge of bringing up my 95 GTS, which has covered 50 k kms and is 9 years older. With proper care and service they can be driven regularly and present like new. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Elliott, Congratulations on a fabulous car in great condition. Seems you are very close to the next level. Great inspiring thread sharing your experience. Robb
Thank you very much Fab, I read over your epic thread many times prior to tackling my own F355. Hope you are enjoying her still very much. Cheers Robb, likewise I have taken inspiration from your threads and F355 passion. Here is a pic of my accepting the class win and Gold Award at the 488 Spider Launch and FCA Xmas Party. That's quite an honor and it speaks volumes about the quality of your work. Congrats on a great showing. It takes a lot of commitment to get a car to present that well when you also drive it. You're a true Ferraristi.
